Teacher Spotlight - Danielle Reisenauer, Kindergarten | Schedule a Tour!

Hello! My name is Danielle Reisenauer, and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Superstition Springs Elementary. I have been teaching for 10 years - all of them in Kindergarten! Being a teacher has been my dream since I was in the first grade, and it is so cool to live out that dream every single day with my students.
My favorite thing about teaching is building a classroom community where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to come to school. Watching my students form friendships and truly love learning together is the most rewarding part of my job.
We love to make learning hands-on! One of my favorite moments this year was during our science unit on living and non-living things. The students got to explore the difference between real earthworms and gummy worms.
I loved watching their bravery as some held a real worm for the first time, and I loved seeing the rest of the class cheering on their friends who weren't quite ready yet. It was a beautiful testament to the supportive community we’ve built in our classroom.
Kindergarten is about so much more than academics. It’s where children learn how to be part of a community, problem-solve, and develop independence. Remember that every child grows in their own time, and that’s okay!
When I’m not in the classroom, I’m an avid reader who loves getting lost in a good book at a local coffee shop. I also enjoy the process of perfecting my sourdough bread and trying out new recipes. At home, I have a stubborn but lovable dachshund named Odie who brings me so much joy!
I can’t wait to welcome your child into our classroom community and help them discover their own courage and curiosity.
